THE Valley Race is an adventure competition, based on the TV reality show The Amazing Race, where teams of two, representing Valley Promotions Member Non-Profits, race around the valley, performing program specific physical, and mental challenges to win a monetary (we hope) grand prize for their organization. With enough sponsors, there will also be smaller cash prizes for the organizations whose teams win the various legs. Each team will have a third person to record video on their phone behind the scenes. Students for the Kennett Media program will be at the tasks to record, and Valley Vision Community Television will edit and air the event in episodes. THE Race will occur over the weekend of October 17 & 18, 2026. The cost to participate, as a team, is $50.
How the Game Works
The race is split into multiple legs taking place across various Member non-profit locations. Teams must deduce clues and complete a series of specific tasks:
- Route Info: Simple instructions teams must follow to receive their next clue.
- Construction Zone: A choice between two different tasks, each with its own pros and cons.
- Roundabout: A demanding task that only one team member can perform, chosen before the clue is fully revealed.
