   The Dinner Bell serves hot community meals every Monday evening (except holidays) at the Brown Church in Conway.  The 5:00 pm meal is open to all!

Water Color Class: Mondays after lunch at the Gibson Center, Artist Carl Owen will offer water color instruction.  Bring your own materials; he has a list stop in to see him at lunch. Last class March 21st

Strength, Balance, & Stretch:  Bobbi Brome leads this exercise program, Tuesday and Friday at 9:30am at the Gibson Center.

Lunch & Games at Silver Lake Landing:  Sponsored by the Gibson Center.  Lunch is at noon every Tuesday, and is followed by games, or a movie.

One to One Computer Labs:  Third Tuesday of the month at the Gibson Center. Call to sign up for your free ½ hour lab.  356-3231 

Wii: Practice your golf swing, your tennis game, or get a strike bowling... Wednesday at the Gibson Center 10:30-1:30.

Game Day:  play Bridge, Scrabble, Cribbage, Canasta, Rummy or Board Games, 12:30 on Wednesdays at the Gibson Center

Blood Pressure Clinics: Last Wednesday of the month, 11:45-12:45 at the Gibson Center.

Mount Washington Lodge # 87, Free & Accepted Masons hosts a benefit pancake breakfast one Sunday  each month.  Breakfast is served from 8:00 am to 11:00 am and the proceeds go to a different non-profit organization each meal.  Below is the list of upcoming breakfasts:

Toastmasters is a group that promotes speaking and listening skills. It was originally founded to assist young men who were entering the work force. It instills confidence, poise, communication skills, good listening, orginizational skills, and so much more.  We meet every Monday except holidays at the Gibson Center from 5:30 to 6:30pm. Every Saturday, 10:45-11:45am: HEALTH RECOVERY THROUGH TAI CHI
For those with ongoing health conditions - such as stroke, Parkinson's, diabetes, arthritis, MS, CP, mobility impairments, balance problems - or who are recovering from injury or for whom a slower-paced class would be more appropriate. All ages and abilities welcome including those in wheelchairs as tai chi can be done standing or seated. Offered the Taoist Tai Chi Society's center in Eastern Slope Plaza (next to Jeanne Limmer Dance Studio). Handicap access is at the front of the building on Reporter Court. Ongoing programs offered at the Fryeburg Public Library include the "Circle of Friends" knitting and crocheting group, which meets every Tuesday at 10am. Book Time with Your Baby, for children from birth to 36 months, meets every Wednesday beginning at 10am. This program lasts for twenty minutes and offers simple stories and fingerplays for infants and toddlers with their parents.

Storytime for Preschoolers begins at 10:30am. This program for children aged 3-5 lasts for 30 minutes and includes stories, songs and fingerplays. Parents are encouraged to attend with their preschoolers, but may also treat it as a first independent activity for their children.

The Fryeburg Writer's Group meets on the first and third Wednesday of each month at 8am. Beginning and experienced writers are invited to attend.

FAMILY FUN DAYS IN THE 100 ACRE WOOD! 

Location: 100 Acre Wood, 41 Observatory Way, Intervale, NH (directly across from Town Hall Road)

EVERY SATURDAY~ 10:30 a.m. Family Outdoor Activities on the Trails in the Wood followed by Indoor Entertainment in the "Theater in the Wood" from 12:00 - 1:00 p.m.

MTMC Classes for Adults:

 

Topics in Music Listening: Every 3rd Wednesday, 5:30 PM -6:30 PM.  NO MUSIC EXPERIENCE NECESSARY!   Explore composers, styles, and structures in music to deepen your enjoyment of music listening.  ($8 per class)

 

Beginning Harmonica: Wednesdays, 4:30-5:15 PM.  Learn to play harmonica in a friendly and fun environment.  ($12 per class)

 

Community Folk Band: Wednesdays, 6:30 -7:45 PM.  Learn to play traditional New England, Appalachian and Celtic Music.  Attendees should have basic playing skills.  Drop in rate $15, call for package rates.

 

Classes for Kids:

 

Kids Drums and Songs: Thursdays, from 4:00-4:45 PM.  Kids in grades K-3 learn about music by playing together, singing songs, create dances, and playing rhythm instruments.  Call for pricing.

 

Keyboard Kids: Mondays, from 4:45 -5:30 PM.  Kids ages 5-7 learn to read music notation and play familiar songs on the piano, in a friendly environment.  Call for pricing.
